My design philosophy of "less is more" is rooted in the idea that simplicity often leads to clarity and functionality. It’s about distilling a design to its most essential elements where appropriate, cutting away excess that doesn’t serve the purpose. Elegance and simplicity don’t just lie in their aesthetic; it ensures that design communicates and serves it’s purpose effectively without overwhelming or confusing the user.
This philosophy also aligns with the distinction between art and design. While art often seeks to express emotion, provoke thought, or explore subjective beauty, design is fundamentally about solving problems and creating functional, user-centered solutions. The goal of design isn't just to make something visually appealing which is a given—it’s to ensure that the design works, that it serves its intended purpose, and that it’s intuitive and enjoyable to interact with.
